All it takes is one moment of courage to introduce yourself—to make a connection. And to my fellow UNH Wildcats, you could be one of the lucky ones that gets to intern at Cline Design and gain experience that lasts a lifetime. With this goal in mind I was able to complete 13 certifications by the end of my internship.

Competing in the Marketing category, Tia qualified for Internationals three years in a row. DECA gave Tia the opportunity to meet two New Hampshire governors – Maggie Hassan and Chris Sununu. In her free time, Tia enjoys helping at her mother’s café, spending time at the lake, and hanging out with friends. Brianna, who started at Cline Design roughly the same time as me, is a graphic design queen.
Where an interdisciplinary approach creates integrated solutions
No matter what type of building we’redesigning, having multiple disciplinesunder one roof enhances the creativeprocess and provides resources to pursueour client's goals with a holistic vision. Cline Design, a HubSpot Partner as well as a Google Partner, puts great emphasis on continuing education. Because of these partnerships, I had easy access to industry leading trainings and certifications through HubSpot Academy, HubSpot’s digital learning center and Google Academy.
Rules for Better Business Cards
They successfully designed the Southeast’s first precast concrete residential high rise, Hawk, in Charlotte, North Carolina. This summer internship was everything I hoped for and so much more. I am eternally grateful to Lorraine for giving me this opportunity. I encourage current and future college students alike to challenge themselves and reach for the internship they really truly want.
Social entrepreneurs are one special breed of leader, and they should be recognized as such. This definition preserves their distinctive status and assures that social entrepreneurship is not treated lightly. We need social entrepreneurs to help us find new avenues toward social improvement as we enter the next century. In today’s globalized world, the definition of “stakeholder” now has been enlarged to include millions of people throughout the planet through social entrepreneurship. When shareholders think only of themselves and their desires for more and more profits, they often forget the affects that their business practices have on a humanitarian level. Then, business activity can become unethical at best (Goldman Sachs allegedly not telling investors that the company had taken a short position on a CDO that it was pitching) or illegal at worst (Enron).
They, too, recognize the need to evolve and embrace new ideas, technologies, and approaches that define today’s era, while not being afraid to challenge conventions, think outside the box, and push the limits of creativity. Five years later, in 2008, they took another significant leap by opening a third office in Charlotte. This expansion solidified their presence in North Carolina and enabled them to reach more clients with their creative solutions. However, the financial crisis of 2008 impacted many businesses, including Cline. Despite their best efforts, the Wilmington office closed in 2009 and they refocused their energy on their Raleigh and Charlotte locations.

In and Out of the Office
I met Barrett the day he came into the office for a strategy meeting. He immediately took the time to get to know me and figure out what he could do to make the best of my experience at Cline Design and help me succeed during my remaining years at the University of New Hampshire. His advice for me, and for others interested in pursuing digital marketing, was to take advantage of the HubSpot courses and certifications, as they will prove to be helpful throughout life. Barrett came in at the perfect time to push every team members’ progress and continue growing Cline Design. We can now buy whatever we want from wherever we want whenever we want.

He also reports to the resort’s CFO once a week for the same reason. What pressing problem is your company most able to address as a result of your expertise and experience? For example, high-tech companies could help put cheap laptops in the hands of poor children. Pharmaceutical businesses might want to increase access to health care. Companies are conduits that direct wealth to many different stakeholders while also generating value and profits for the shareholders. Along the way, they’ve brought the City of Raleigh’s new transit operational facility, a hub for the city’s public transportation system that greatly improved the efficiency and functionality of transit operations in Raleigh.

Home is no longer just a place where we live; it has become a multifaceted space where we work, play, and connect with others. It is a sanctuary where we invite others in, sharing our dreams and our lives with our families, colleagues, and communities.

There have been some improvements, but Burkley says supply shortages are still an issue. As we enter 2018, we are happy to announce we have added to the Cline Design team. Corinne Cline (yes, she’s our daughter) has joined our family-owned company as Vice President of Content Marketing. Social media and online content have made it easier than ever to communicate with millions of people throughout the word.
From the first few clicks on the computer screen to construction, she works with every stakeholder across an organization to bring their vision to life. Generation Y has a global perspective, understanding that their responsibilities extend past just the business they work for. Thus, business should aim to generate profits and help society. Millennials want no part of the stereotypical “greedy” business world—they want to be a part of a company that actively seeks to improve the world. To attract the future leaders of Generation Y, businesses leaders must become social entrepreneurs that serve altruistic purposes in addition to creating profits. Cline Design is dedicated to transforming communities through innovative design and the integration of architecture, planning, landscape architecture, and interior design.
It’s a constant source of motivation for employees, especially for Generation Y, which is increasingly skeptical about the traditional corporate work environment. Deeply committed to their guiding core principles, Cline invested in their people, as well as their relationships with their clients. It was always exciting to be in an environment of caring coworkers. Each member of the team helped make my internship experience the absolute best and for that I am forever grateful. Today, he uses that experience to help Pinehurst continue its upward growth trajectory. That focus on optimizing his planning process is now more vital than ever, as supply chain issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic persist.
In 1988, Cline Design was founded to provide advertising and graphic design services for small-to-medium businesses. As technology and marketing strategies changed, so did we. Barrett King is our Senior Channel Account Manager and Growth Strategist from HubSpot. He is Cline Design’s primary resource at HubSpot and serves as a constant sounding board for the company’s ideas and goals.
Cline has come a long way since their humble beginnings, but their core values remain unwavering. However, they understand that design is not a static concept. It evolves alongside the changing needs, desires, and aspirations of the community.
